Adaptive Sports Festival in Rivne Promotes Physical Activity as Therapy for Veterans
The Veterans Department of the Come Back Alive Foundation’s Initiatives Center co-organized an adaptive sports festival held on March 1-2, 2025 in Rivne for servicemen, veterans, and their families.

On the first day, participants had the opportunity to try archery and rowing on simulators at Lyceum No. 12 in Rivne. The following day, they engaged in table tennis at the regional “Invasport” center. The festival was dedicated to honoring the memory of fallen soldiers from the Rivne region.
The team from the Veterans Department of the CBA Initiatives Center not only helped organize the event but also provided adaptive sports equipment.

“Such events are organized not just to allow people to try their hand at veteran adaptive sports. Our team supports the development of physical activity in communities, bringing veterans together into spaces where they can relax and feel ‘among their own.’ It also restores the joy of movement, promoting psychological recovery,” said Taras Kovalyk, head of the Veterans Department at the CBA Initiatives Center.
Public and state organizations, including the Department of Youth and Sports of the Rivne City Council, the “Veteran Hundred” NGO, the Badminton Federation of the Rivne Region, and others, also contributed to the event.
