The CBA Initiatives Center has launched “Nashi Tut” — a platform focused on recovery through adaptive sports for veterans, active service members, and their families. The format combines an interactive map of useful locations and contacts, specialized articles, and personal stories shared by defenders of Ukraine.

Interest in adaptive sports among the veteran and military community in Ukraine continues to grow — along with the need for reliable guidance. Where to train, how to start, who can support you, and how to find your place within the community — these are questions that often go unanswered.

To address this, the Veteran Support Department at the CBA Initiatives Center developed “Nashi Tut,” a project that researches and highlights opportunities for recovery through sports after injuries, wounds, or illnesses — and promotes the development of this field in Ukraine.

The platform features an interactive map where users can find information about rehabilitation centers, adaptive sports sections, and veteran centers. It is designed not only for people going through recovery, but also for their families, coaches, sport assistants, medical specialists, and anyone who wants to learn more about adaptive sports.

On the “Nashi Tut” website, visitors can:

  • find a suitable place for sports activities and recovery — for themselves or for someone they care about;
  • learn more about adaptive sports and go deeper into the topic;
  • explore real-life experiences of veterans;
  • discover useful contacts.

Additionally, the website will soon include information about sports and educational events, as well as interactive online activities such as quizzes and an updated library of helpful materials for anyone interested in adaptive sports.

A key strength of the project lies in its verification approach. The Veteran Support Department of the CBA Initiatives Center evaluates each location based on its own criteria — assessing communication with medical specialists and coaches, accessibility, and rehabilitation practices.

“Our team doesn’t simply search for recovery locations online — we visit them in person. We explore the space, meet with management and professionals. Then we carefully assess conditions, services, and community needs. Building connections with other organizations helps us strengthen each other and scale adaptive sports in Ukraine,” says Olha Husakova, Senior Specialist at the CBA Initiatives Center’s Veteran Support Department.

“We encourage veterans to actively use the ‘Nashi Tut’ platform — find suitable locations, connect with the community, learn more about adaptive sports and recovery options,” says Taras Kovalik, Head of the Veteran Support Department at the CBA Initiatives Center. “And if you represent an organization or initiative working in adaptive sports or veteran support — reach out. We are open to collaboration and always welcome new partners in our community.”
