Only a few days remain until the biggest adaptive sports event of the year. On November 30, Kyiv will host the opening of HART, a national adaptive sports competition for veterans. The event is organized in partnership with the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and supported by its general partner, UGB Ukrgasbank.

We invite everyone to join — fill the stands with energy, support every start and every attempt, come with your family, and bring friends. Admission is free, and no registration is required. Just come this Sunday at 16:00 to the International Exhibition Centre (Brovarskyi Ave., 15). Doors open at 14:00.

The opening ceremony on Sunday will feature performances by Mia Ramari and Antytila. Throughout the week, the stage will host Zhadan & Sobaky (acoustic), HLIBOROB, Krykhitka, Hyphen Dash, Yevheniy Dubovyk, and other Ukrainian artists.

Over seven days, participants will compete across nine adaptive sports — both individual and team disciplines — including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, archery, indoor rowing, laser-run, powerlifting, cycling, and swimming.

The HART venue — the same location that hosted Eurovision 2017 — offers ample space for everyone, including four-legged fans.

But Hart is about more than athletic performance. Throughout the week, visitors will be able to enjoy a large festival zone — a space to relax between competitions, meet new people, enjoy good food, and try adaptive sports simulators such as archery or rowing.

This week is an opportunity to better understand how our attention, presence, and encouragement can support veterans on their path to recovery.

“People who devoted their time and health to protecting all of us have so much to inspire and amaze. And our task is to show them that we stand by their side — even on the sports field,” says Ihor Krytsak, Senior Specialist at the Veterans Department of the CBA Initiatives Center.

The countdown is on. Join us and become part of an event you’ll remember.
