Ukraine Launches a Course for Those Supporting Veterans and People with Disabilities: How to Join
Caring for a person with trauma, injuries, illnesses, or disabilities — including those acquired through the war — is a significant responsibility and a daily challenge. To support those who take on this mission, the CBA Initiatives Center has launched a free Personal Care Assistants Training Program. Participants will learn how to provide care professionally and safely, as well as receive guidance on preserving their own well-being while on this path.
Over ten weeks, participants will complete a series of online sessions and have the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge through two practical modules in Lviv. The course covers daily care routines, safe mobility, complication prevention, and first aid. Most importantly, participants will be part of a supportive community where they can share experiences and emotions with others who understand.
“We want to give people not only knowledge but also a sense of support. Caring for veterans or family members with disabilities is a huge responsibility, and no one should face it alone,” emphasizes the program coordinator.
Registration is open until September 28, 2025. To register and learn more about the program, visit nashi.cba.center.ngo. Participation is completely free.
We believe that together we can make this journey easier for those who give their love and care every day to those who need it most.
